Join APD

The APD credential is recognised by the Australian Governement, Medicare, Department of Veterans’ Affairs and most private health funds as the quality standard for nutrition and dietetic services in Australia.

APDs benefit from facilitated access to continuing professional development resources, which in turn, will help develop standards of excellence throughout our profession.

APDs gain increased recognition and professional standing through marketing initiatives.

The Guide to the APD Program, Continuing Professional Development and Mentoring, which details the program requirements and the responsibilities of mentee and mentor, is provided to all new APDs. An APD certificate together with an Accredited Nutritionist (AN) certificate is issued annually on renewal of membership.

DAA urges you to join the program, not only for the very real and tangible benefits it offers, but also to help further the development of our profession.

As Accredited Practising Dietitians we must ensure that our unique body of knowledge and expertise is used to improve the health of all Australians.

If you have questions, contact the Freecall Hotline 1800 812 942, or contact the DAA National Office on telephone 02 6163 5200, fax 02 6282 9888 or email apd@daa.asn.au
