Nutrition & Dietetics Emerging Researcher Award

This award aims to encourage and acknowledge quality research, by an emerging researcher, who publishes for the first time in DAAs official peer-reviewed journal. The award specifically hopes to encourage more research in the area of paediatrics. This award is proudly supported by the Nestlé Nutrition Institute and is awarded annually at the DAA National Conference.

Recipients will receive a framed certificate, $1000 and complimentary registration to the DAA National Conference.

DAA-Unilever Postgraduate Research Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2004 with the generous support of DAA Program Partner, Unilever Australasia, with the aim of supporting more practice based dietetics research in Australia. The scholarship supports a research higher degree related to practice-based research that develops or extends the evidence base in the area of cardiovascular disease and other related health issues.

The scholarship is open to APD practitioners who are either enrolled in a university or who have and identified supervisor and universoty prepared to enrol them.

Recipients receive $10,000 per annum funding for up to four years for the scholarship.

Fay McDonald Scholarship

The DAA Fay McDonald scholarship supports a higher degree or other approved study program related to developing professional practice in food service management. It is available to APD practitioners with an interest in pursuing this aspect of dietetic practice and may be awarded over a maximum of three (3) years to a total value of up to $20,000. Calls for applications will be advertised biennially. Applications are currently closed.
