Asian Federation of Dietetic Associations (AFDA)
AFDA is an Association of national nutrition and dietetic associations in the Asian region. There are currently 11 member countries, DAA being an affiliate member. AFDA organises the Asian Congress of Dietetics held once every four years.
Allied Health Professions Australia
Allied Health Professions Australia (AHPA) is the national peak body for major health professions and their representative bodies other than medical practitioners, nurses and unions. AHPA works to represent the interests of the allied health professions sector, particularly to the Federal Government; and to provide a vehicle for liaison and discussion between the professions themselves.
International Confederation of Dietetic Associations
The International Confederation of Dietetic Associations (ICDA) is an Association of national dietetic associations. Together, the Members represent about 150,000 dietetics professionals around the world.
Mental Health Australia
The Mental Health Australia (MHA) is the peak, national non-government organisation representing and promoting the interests of the Australian mental health sector and committed to achieving better mental health for all Australians. It was established in 1997 as the first independent peak body in Australia to truly represent the full spectrum of mental health stakeholders and issues. MHCA members include national organisations representing consumers, carers, special needs groups, clinical service providers, public and private mental health service providers, researchers and state/territory community mental health peak bodies.
National Aged Care Alliance
The National Aged Care Alliance is a representative body of peak national organisations in aged care, including consumer groups, providers, unions and health professionals, working together to determine a more positive future for aged care in Australia.
National Alliance of Self Regulating Health Professions – NASRHP
NASHRP was formed in 2008 under the auspices of Allied Health Professions Australia to support member organisations of self regulating professions. NASRHP has developed benchmark standards for these professional bodies to support robust processes for the accreditation of entry level training programs and and the credentialing of individuals in these professions. NASRHP is also an advocacy body for these professions. NASRHP is supported by Federal Government funding.
National Committee for Nutrition
The National Committee for Nutrition aims to foster nutritional science in Australia, to link the Academy to Australian nutritional scientists and relevant scientific and other societies, and to serve as a link between Australian and overseas nutritionists, primarily through the International Union of Nutrition Sciences.
