Member Community

More than just your professional association, we are a supportive, motivated and inspiring member community. As a member, there are many ways to connect with your peers, get involved in local and national activities, and make a difference.

Branch Networks

We have a Branch of our Association in every State and Territory, and each of these organises and runs events, meetings, and local networking opportunities throughout the year. This is a good way to connect with dietitians near you, share your experience and knowledge, ask questions, and learn from others. See Branch Networks for more information.

What’s New

This is your member noticeboard. We regularly post items to this page such as announcements and information for you, and also a copy of each week’s member update email. Check What’s New regularly to make sure you don’t miss anything.

Discussion forums

Our discussion forums are an important part of our member community, and is your place to connect with peers of similar interests and areas of practice. By regularly visiting the forums, you can stay up to date, gain support and suggestions, share and discuss topics of interest, and benefit from the insight and leadership of more experienced colleagues. See Member Connect for more information and to join a discussion.

Leadership opportunities – volunteering

We are your Association and there is no better way to shape its work and its future than by getting involved as a volunteer. Volunteering provides you the opportunity to make a difference, and expands your professional skills and networks. Volunteer roles look great on your CV, provide you with numerous transferrable skills, and time spent can be logged as CPD.

There are lots of ways you can volunteer; you don’t need to be highly experienced, just enthusiastic and willing to have a go. See Leadership opportunities – volunteering for more information.

Practice & Professional Networks

Our Interest Groups and Discussion Groups are one way you can connect with peers with mutual areas of interest or experience. These groups communicate regularly in Member Connect – supporting each other and sharing questions, information, experiences, and resources. Each Interest Group and Discussion Group also meets face-to-face through dedicated events and CPD opportunities regularly throughout the year. See Practice & Professional Networks for more information.
