Dietitians Day 2017: Time to celebrate Accredited Practising Dietitians!
We’re always proud of the role dietitians play in inspiring and supporting people to live healthier lives, through good nutrition – but on Dietitians Day, 19 September 2017, we especially want to sing it from the rooftops!
And we’d love you to show your support this Dietitians Day.
For the first time this year, we are celebrating Dietitians Day on 19 September to align with the Asian Federation of Dietetic Associations and our neighbours in the Asia Pacific region. Dietitians around the region will be celebrating Dietitians Day – from social events, to sharing e-cards, to social media promotions.

What’s so special about Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs)?
APDs are the ‘go to’ health professionals for nutrition advice and support. They’re nutrition scientists with years of university study behind them – they know how to translate nutrition science into practical, every-day advice.
APDs can help you make the right decision about what to eat and can personalise an eating plan that’s right for you. Importantly, they can support and motivate you to make healthy dietary changes for life. APDs can be found across the country, and they work in a range of settings.
For that reason, we think they’re pretty special – and worth celebrating!
